Gerald (Jerry) Martin, CEO and founder of Gerald Martin General Contractor, communicates a can-do attitude that has established the company's reputation as a firm that can build anything and take on any challenge. With a spirit of fairness and a reputation for credibility and honesty, Jerry provides the leadership that drives the company to set the standard of excellence in the construction industry.

Fred Gorenz began his career with GMGC more than 33 years ago as a carpenter foreman. He is now President of the company. Fred works directly with owners, developers, architectural / engineering firms, subcontractors, and our internal team to deliver projects on time and within budget. His unique insights, endless energy and enthusiasm, and strong sense of integrity have been instrumental in making the company what it is today.

Scot Thurgood has served as Chief Financial Officer with GMGC for more than 17 years. As Senior Vice President and CFO, Scot is responsible for all corporate finance, accounting, risk management, human resources and legal matters.

Jennifer Deal is Treasurer of GMGC. Jennifer has been with us for nine years, serving as Controller for the past six years. Jennifer's background is in public accounting, budget implementation and cost control.

Steve Collins is Vice President of Estimating for GMGC. With more than 30 years of estimating experience, Steve's focus is on providing Owners with the best value for their construction investment. He encourages Owners to involve GMGC early in a project's development process in order to achieve cost and time savings.

Johnny Barton is Vice President of Project Management and also serves as Senior Project Manager. He has been with GMGC for more than 11 years and has 25 years of construction experience. In addition to managing projects, Johnny supervises our Project Management staff.

James Mee, CCM, is Vice President of Construction Management of GMGC. With more than 34 years of experience in the construction industry and a Certified Construction Manager (CCM), James oversees GMGC's Owner's Representative Services working with public and private organizations to achieve program, project, and construction goals.
