Preconstruction services can be provided through a variety of arrangements including: Design Assist, Design-Build, and Construction Management at Risk (CMAR).
Each method provides the owner with the benefit of having Gerald Martin General Contractor's (GMGC) expert input throughout the design process. More than sixty percent of Gerald Martin General Contractor's work falls into these categories. Under the Design Assist construction methodology, the owner can contract separately with GMGC to work with the architect and provide ongoing analyses of the design. These analyses typically include: cost estimates, budget reviews, scheduling, constructability analyses, value engineering, phasing, and early purchasing of long lead items during the preconstruction phase of the project.
