WESST Corp is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit economic development organization headquartered in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Its mission is to facilitate the start-up and growth of women and minority-owned businesses throughout the state of New Mexico. Since incorporating in 1988, WESST Corp has received local and national recognition for accomplishments of both its programs and its personnel. WESST Corp's target market is low-income, unemployed and/or underemployed women and minorities, although WESST Corp services are available to any New Mexico resident seeking to start or grow a business. Gerald Martin General Contractor is proud to be building the new WESST Corp Business Incubator Complex in downtown Albuquerque. The facility is a 38,000 square foot facility that consists of training and conference rooms, administrative support space, a computing center, retail, office, artisan, and manufacturing areas as well as special purpose spaces. The project will revitalize a portion of a block in downtown Albuquerque and will become a model for sustainable design and construction as well as sustainable incubator practices. It will be the first city-owned building to be built to the LEED Silver specifications of the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design program.
